Plane Finder works by picking up real time ADS-B signals used by aircraft to transmit positional data to land based receivers. This technology is faster than traditional radar and is used for air traffic control and navigation. ADS-B is not used by all airlines or aircraft, however this is changing and the number of aircraft tracked by ADS-B is increasing all of the time.
Don’t download - I’ve asked for a refund
Rubbish - not even close to being useable. I write apps (games and utility apps) and I would NEVER ask people to pay money for something that is utterly useless. To view planes, the app has to link to a website. If this is a work in progress like the firm are now saying, it should be free or removed from the app store until it is ready. I feel conned.
No world coverage
This only shows coverage for a select few airports around the world. Also the ability to search for flight numbers NEEDS to be added. It would be nice to follow a flight from begging to end.
good idea, not ready yet though.
Expected a lot more as their other products are good. It feels like an early concept version, certainly does not live up to the beautiful terrain and sky data’, definitely not ready to be a paid app yet. Hopefully they will improve it and not abandon development.
