Astonishingly More Beautiful Than My Console Version

I originally bought Bioshock Infinite during the summer following its release and I must say that I while I was a little dismayed at the relatively short campaign, the visuals and the overall story didn’t disappoint in the slightesest! The graphics were stunning, Elizabeth’s character was fanstically modeled in virtually every single way, and the developers found a way to reinvent the series while still remaining true to its EXTREMELY AWESOME roots! Suffice it to say I love the trilogy so much that I started looking into seeing if there was a way to get any, if not all, of the games on my Mid-2012 non-retina Macbook Pro 15 inch, and sure enough the App Store did NOT fail to deliever. While there were some issues with exceptionally long download times in addition to the strange memory incidents, I finally got the game downloaded and I must say it’s just as breathtaking, if not moreso, to behold. Furthermore, after playing around with the graphics settings a little, I was able to get Bioshock Infinite to the standard where I enjoy playing it on my mac just a tad more than my Xbox 360 and I’m a console gamer. Asphyr has done an amazing job porting Bioshock Infinite over to Mac, and I lookforward to seeing what else they have coming down the pipeline.

Easily one of the best games

Typically I don’t write these reviews, but I couldn’t resist for this game. Without spoiling anything, I just want to emphasis just how attached I felt towards the main characters in the storyline, and as the story progressed, I felt more and more in love with them. It wasn’t like any other protagonists I’ve ever felt towards before in other games. The storyline is non-stop profound and powerful, with humor and awe. It was simply mindblowing. Although some might say they didn’t like the ending, I LOVED the ending. And additionally, the DLCs actually continue the story even further and explain so many things, as well as tie together the original bioshock. (I just wish it wasn’t so expensive), but it was well spent. 2K and the bioshock crew, PLEASE continue this series.

Had never played a Bioshock before this, corrected that mistake.

This is a shooter that has such a hook that its easy to ignore the linearity of it all. The game is so tight and the graphics are so good, it all adds up to a highly replayable game. The twist is kinda “eh” but the rest of the story is so well written and referential to literature such as Ayn Rand and Hemingway and similar authors that I played through twice, most of each playthrough in one sitting. The characters are compelling and enigmatic and its worth a play. There are also many small references to alternate realities that contain music such as “Fortunate Son”, “God Only Knows”, “Girls Just Wanna Have Fun” and “Everybody Wants To Rule the World”.
